Description
The ice planet tileset I made for the game my friend is programming. Those ice pillars definitely have some influence from Mega Man 3 - Gemini's Man's stage. 
I took the method I used for the jungle tileset and played with it a bit more, and came up with the rather satisfactory method of joining the ice pillars to the ground.
The main ground tiles themselves could probably still use a little something more, and I intend to add some layers of distant mountains to the background.
I made sure to include the desert planet and the jungle planet in the night sky (need to adjust brightness a bit), since I always loved it in old games when they'd add nice little touches which connect everything together like that.

My boyfriend and I agree that this icy level is our favorite. I love the placement of that lil dude. He looks as though he's the lord of all he surveys. It just makes the whole landscape seem so vast even though it's not that big. I believe the black sky in the bg helps with this perception. Cool! It looks like you took a hellalotta time to do this!
